DAS UK Group wins Marketing/PR Team of the Year

DAS UK Group’s Marketing team has won the Marketing/PR Team of the Year award at the 2018 Insurance Marketing & PR Awards.

Now in their fourth year, the awards, which are held annually by Insurance Post magazine, celebrate creativity in insurance marketing and PR, particularly the use of innovative thinking to maintain a connection between businesses and the markets in which they operate.

For the Marketing/PR Team of the Year category, submissions needed to demonstrate that a team has made significant strides in promoting their brand through marketing and PR activities in the last 12-18 months, while also providing a major contribution to the success of the business they work for.

The submission from DAS UK detailed a highly successful period for the marketing function, including:

  • A new portfolio of four corporate websites recognised as the industry’s best;
  • Significantly increased delivery against all KPI targets;
  • The launch of a lauded thought leadership series (‘DAS Market Barometers’);
  • The successful rebuilding of the DAS brand through a well-crafted content and engagement strategy;
  • Delivering the world’s first LEI skill for Amazon Alexa;
  • Doubling of social media impressions to 1.5m;
  • A 22% rise in media coverage including major broadsheets and tabloids.

Other nominees in the Marketing/PR Team of the Year category included AXA, LV=, Simply Business and Zurich Insurance.

The DAS team – led by Paul Mills – comprises Karl Blockwell, Mark Branton, Helen Couzens, Alex Taylor, Roger Turpin and James Watkins.
