DAS shortlisted for two categories at the British Insurance Awards

DAS UK Group has been shortlisted in the ‘Brand Management’ and ‘Risk & Resilience’ categories at this year’s British Insurance Awards (BIAs).

Held annually by the Insurance Post, the prestigious awards celebrate the exceptional achievements of the UK insurance industry.

The Brand Management submission was centred around the transformative activities of DAS UK’s Marketing team, including:

  • A new portfolio of four corporate websites recognised as the industry’s best;
  • The launch of a lauded thought leadership series (‘DAS Market Barometers’);
  • Rebuilding of the DAS brand through a well-crafted content and engagement strategy;
  • Delivering the world’s first LEI skill for Amazon Alexa and Google Home;
  • Doubling of social media impressions to 2m;
  • A 585% rise in media coverage including major broadsheets and tabloids;
  • Significantly increased delivery against all KPI targets.

Also nominated in the category are Allianz Insurance, LV=, Staysure and Zurich.

Head of Marketing Communications & Brand Paul Mills commented: “This is fantastic recognition of the brand transformation happening at DAS UK. This category showcases the best work in insurance marketing, so we should be extremely proud of being shortlisted.”

The Risk & Resilience entry, meanwhile, detailed the outstanding work of the company’s Outsourcing team since 2015, and the key role it has played in strengthening corporate systems and controls that have also helped set the foundations for the company’s wider transformation.

Other nominees in this category include Crises Control, Flood Re and RMS.

Head of Outsourcing Jason Simms said: “I’m thrilled that we have been shortlisted by the BIAs. In terms of outsourcing controls and governance, we’ve moved a business risk mountain in the last three years, and have tried to articulate that in our submission. It’s a measure of how far we’re come as a business that we’ve been shortlisted for such a prestigious award.”

The awards ceremony takes place at the Royal Albert Hall, London on 10 July 2019.

DAS UK Group’s Recruitment team has won the ‘Best Recruitment Team in the Professional Services Sector’ award at the annual In-House Recruitment Awards.
