19th March 2019

The Insurance Institute of Northern Ireland’s Premium Masterclass Series – sponsored by DAS UK Group – is holding the last of six thought leadership events at the Clayton Hotel in Belfast at 8:30am this Thursday (21 March).

Now in its ninth year, the Masterclass Series features the latest insights into the issues affecting the insurance industry.

The speakers at the sixth masterclass, which will focus on the future of law insurance and how to learn to lead, are as follows:

Laura McKee, Tughans: The Future of Insurance Law

Laura is a Director in the Dispute Resolution department, specialising in defence litigation. She acts on behalf of major insurance companies in respect of road traffic accidents, employer’s liability and public liability claims.

She specialises in the defence of fraudulent and potentially fraudulent insurance claims and has particular expertise in the defence of credit hire cases. Laura also deals with recovery actions for major insurer clients and advises on policy cover issues.

Neil Cahill, Tughans: The Future of Insurance Law

Neil is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Department specialising in the insurance sector where he defends personal injury claims in respect of road traffic accidents, employers’ liability and public liability in both the County and High Court.

Philip Bain: Learn to Lead

Philip Bain is the co-owner of multi award winning company, ShredBank, Northern Ireland’s largest on-site shredding company.

Having been involved in growing and developing six start-up companies, Philip set up ShredBank in 2007 with his friend and business partner James Carson. It grew rapidly despite the recession and became the largest on-site shredding company in Northern Ireland.

Philip is currently a Council Member of The Prince’s Trust in Northern Ireland, a Visiting Professor of the University of Ulster, and a regular speaker on the subjects of business growth and entrepreneurship. He is also author of ‘Start to Grow’, an Amazon Best Seller on how to start and grow a successful business.
